In the wake of the apocalypse of Civ 3.0,§0 §0and the collapse of the Civcraft server with the death of TTK, Mount Augusta appeared to be dead. Many citizens, including notable mainstays such as Judge _Meunier, took this opportunity to retire from the

Civ-genre. For us unfortunate souls, however, Civcraft would be reborn elsewhere in the universe. §0 §0 §0With the death of Civcraft 3.0 - to which the Maesters' Alliance observes as the THIRD AGE - a few Augustans made attempts to

gauge interest in re-establishing Mount Augusta (MTA) in another server called Devoted. Unpreturbed by the luke-warm attention that Njordomir's (MTA 3.0 Mayor) received, Mr. Fox posted "Stepping Forward," a notice that he would be establishing Mount

Augusta in the Fourth Age, with support if possible, but alone if necessary. The brave souls Mirakles, Njordomir, SerraNova, and _chess, among others, signed onto the venture as the first pioneers in this brave new world.

agreed that Mount Augusta would be built in lands discovered by Mr. Fox. §0 §0 §0In true Augustan form, the city took shape rapidly, with traditional meandering roads and chaotic builds stretching across the plainlands. In short order, MTA had once

again become a major population hub popular with newfriends. Server Admin Bonkill reportedly was selective in the placing of newfriend spawn sights and elected to place one in the Mount Augustan area. After one month of life, it remains clear that

Mount Augusta will be an enduring focus of culture in the Fourth Age and, with the grace and strength of our citizenry, beyond.§0 §0
