The Tauroctony

Mithras, lord of the cosmos, was a natural friend of Sol Invictus. In fact, they were so close that Mithras gave him the gift of light, so that he could keep his followers out of the darkness. Sol Invictus in return swore to serve Mithras till the endw

of days. All of creation praised the duo for this gift, all except Taurus. Taurus has always wanted to have the power of the sun for himself, so much in fact that he was willing to defy the Gods for it. The spacial bull assumed the form of the

monstrous Minatour and began to rampage on the earth, claiming he was sent by Sol Invictus to punish them for misuse of the light. Mithras saw this and descended down to the earth to stop the madness of Taurus. When confronted by Mithras, Taurus

began to beg for forgiveness. Mithras, enraged at his actions, flung the bull back into the stars, to remain there for eternity. Mithras then declared that the children of Taurus, the the sacred bulls, were to be sacrificed in his name as a

punishment for the constellation's treachery.
